Security guard shot in upper body

Cause of shooting unknown.

A man who was shot in Selection Park at 11.45pm, on Tuesday is in a stable condition.

The Springs police reacted to a call about a shooting and upon arrival they found a man being shot.

According to Springs police spokesman, Captain Johannes Ramphora, the man is a security guard who was on duty at the time.

He claims the man was shot in his left upper body.

When the paramedics arrived, they treated the man on the scene and took him to the Far East Rand Hospital (FERH).

FERH spokesman Hendrik Buda, confirmed the man is being treated and is in a stable condition.

“We are investigating the case to find the cause of the shooting,” says Ramphora.
