Consultant receives prestigious award

Marcha Lourens, a leisure consultant in Springs, received an award at the ASATA Diners Club recently.

The ASATA Diners Club Awards 2014 took place at the Monte Casino Ballroom in Fourways.

Marcha has been a leisure consultant for 16 years and received the Leisure Consultant Trophy at the event.

To be rewarded with a trophy, consultants need to be nominated by their peers, not by clients.

“It basically means your bosses need to think you are doing a good job,” says Marcha.

This was the second time Marcha has received this award.

Marcha says she did not expect to receive an award at all as the other consultants who have been nominated were excellent.

“The competition was fierce so I definitely did not expect an award.”

Mary Reynolds, Marcha’s employer says they are extremely proud of her.

“She’s an absolute, absolute asset to our company.”
