Raising funds to walk again

A fundraiser was held on Saturday at the Springs Indoor Centre for Morné Mulder.

Morné broke his neck in a horrific accident which occurred on November 29 when he dived into a swimming pool.

Left unconscious, he was rushed to hospital where he later realised he was paralyzed.

He got better each day and is now only paralyzed from the waist downward.

He was then transferred to a hospital in Pretoria where he started his rehabilitation to learn to walk again.

The medical aid agreed to pay for three months of his rehab.

The information his family and friends received is that he will be in rehab for at least three months, but it could be longer.

His friends and family decided to do a fundraising project for him to help with his general expenses.

Action cricket and netball were held to raise funds. See more photo’s.

Also at the event were activities such as face painting and jumping castles for children and a few stalls with jewellery and food.
