Valentine’s day is always special for Roxanne Silver.
Her fiancee, Philip van den Berg always surprises her with something romantic.
They had been together for eight years, but the time he surprised her on Valentine’s day still stays in their memories.
This was the day when he took her to the empty Mud-hook hall, where there was a road paved with roses to a candle-lit table for two.
“I don’t cook,” says Philip.
They had take-away fried chicken on a beautifully set table.
Philip did not want to reveal what he plans for this weekend’s Valentine’s day.
It could be any thing, such as the time he proposed to Roxanne.
He told her they were going to Heidelberg, but instead he took her for a week to the mountains and KwaZulu-Natal’s north coast.
What made it special is that Philip arranged leave for Roxanne at her work and Roxanne’s sister packed her clothes for her.
