A man and his friend saw about seven armed robbers entering their premises in Selcourt on Saturday.
They ordered the two victims to lie on the ground and took a chain from around one victm’s neck and his wrist watch.
Spokesman for the Springs police Captain Johannes Ramphora says one suspect asked where the safe was and took one of the victims with him to open the safe from which they stole cash and jewellery.
While they were in the bedroom, the other robbers allegedly assaulted the other victim with their guns.
The robbers also took a plasma TV, speakers and a play station.
Ramphora says they loaded the goods into a white BMW which belongs to one of the victims and left.
The vehicle was recovered in Duduza on the same day.
It is believed the robbers were wearing yellow reflector jackets during the robbery.
