A man was kidnapped and his vehicle hijacked on Saturday (January 31) in the Springs central business district.
He left his vehicle in Second Avenue at 3pm, and when he returned he found three suspects next to it.
Springs police spokesman Captain Johannes Ramphora says the one suspect pointed a gun at the owner of the vehicle.
The suspect ordered the victim to get into a blue BMW.
They allegedly covered the victim’s head with a T-shirt.
They dropped him off at Grootvlei Mine at 7.30pm, and left in both vehicles.
The victim walked to the Springs Taxi Rank where he phoned the police to report the incident.
