A man went fishing at the dam in Struisbult on Tuesday when his vehicle was hijacked.
Spokesman for the Springs police Captain Johannes Ramphora says the man decided to go fishing at 2.30pm, when three men approached him.
One of the robbers pointed a gun at the victim ordering him to lay on the ground.
Ramphora says the robbers assaulted the victim by kicking him in the face.
They threatened to kill the victim if he didn’t hand over his car keys.
The robbers found the keys under the driver’s seat.
The took two cellphones, a Garmen GPS, fishing equipment and drove off in his white VW.
Ramphora asks the community to contact the Springs police on 011 365 5719/20 to assist them with the investigation.
