Load shedding: switch off every thing possible

Eskom is currently enforcing stage 1 load shedding which will be implemented in Ekurhuleni in accordance with their latest load shedding timetable.

Unforeseen technical problems at Eskom’s power stations has put a severe constraint on Eskom’s power grid, causing load shedding resulting in them calling on the various metros, including Ekurhuleni, to implement load shedding.

Eskom requests electricity consumers to switch off geysers, air conditioners, pool pumps and all non-essential appliances throughout the day to reduce the demand in electricity.
