SAPS recognise businesses

Businesses fighting against crime are important to the Springs police.

Three local businesses received certificates of recognition from the Springs police this morning during a ceremony held in the Springs station commander’s office.

Captain Johannes Ramphora, spokesman for the Springs police, invited the three businesses on behalf of Brigadier Thembeka Gwebushe, the station commander.

These businesses received certificates of commendation to honour them for their contribution towards the SAPS award ceremony in December 2014.

Two local businessmen Jake D’Arrigo and André Stoltz received their certificates of commendation from the brigadier.

Jake said “when I say I will deliver, I always do.”

André was overwhelmed with the professional way the handover was done.

“It is a heartwarming gesture,” he said.

The brigadier applauded them for their contribution to the success of the ceremony.

She said the ceremony was done professionally and without the support of local business it wouldn’t be possible.

The third business to receive an award wasn’t present during the handover, but the certificate was delivered to their premises later in the day.

Captain Johannes Ramphora, spokesman for the Springs police, was also present and said he is grateful for the support from local businesses.
