Business robbed of tools

The business was robbed after robbers tied up the security guard.

A business was robbed on Sunday at 1am.

The security guard who was on duty in the guard room at the time heard the hooting of a vehicle at the gate.

According to Springs police spokesman Captain Johannes Ramphora the guard opened the gate and two armed men wearing balaclavas entered.

They overpowered the security guard, tied his hands with shoelaces and then opened the gate for their vehicle to enter.

Eleven robbers then entered in a white bakkie and took the keys to the workshop from the guard room.

Ramphora says, while the 11 robbers were in the workshop, the two armed men also tied the guards feet.

They took a toolbox and other tools before jumping over the wall.

He adds the two armed robbers left through the gate.
