The Addie visited Joseph Mabusela, Samson Zulu and Sifiso Mafuwane who are getting rid of weeds in Springs. They say it is a huge task to get rid of it.
They live in KwaThema and, being unemployed at the time, they jumped at the opportunity to plough back into the community.
When Fricca Seabi was sub-contracted by a metro contractor he found these three men eager but humble to help keep Springs clean.
He also lives in KwaThema and says that, even though it is only a short term contract, these men are working fast and he is happy with the job they are doing.
He adds that he will definitely stay in touch with them when other contracts come in.
“They are doing a good job and are working fast, they are definitely not lazy,” he says.
Samson feels it is an honourable job and it keeps him off the streets.
Joseph and Sifiso are happy they could find something to keep them busy.
The three men are proud of their jobs.
