Register now for Ekurhuleni Kiddies Games

The Ekurhuleni metro call upon all preschools to register for the 2015 Ekurhuleni Kiddies Games.

These games are held in partnership with the Gauteng Sports and Recreation Department.

The games are vital for the well-being of the toddlers during the early developmental stages.

Ekurhuleni spokesman Themba Gadebe says the games will enable them to inculcate the love of sports and healthy living, prepare the children for a brighter future in sports as well as build their confidence in competitions.

Each preschool is required to register a team of 10 participants consisting of five boys and five girls who are between the ages of five and six years old.

Registration to the competition is compulsory if you wish to participate. Registration paves the way for youngsters to participate in the first level of the sporting event locally in March next year. The successful participants will then proceed to the regional level.

The registration cut-off date is February 27.

Gadebe says the sporting activities will include ball throwing, ball hopping, ball kicking, ball dribbling, ring throwing and cycling.

Interested preschools may enter their teams by registering through the area coordinators listed below.
