Police prepared to fight crime this December holidays

The police assure the Springs and Kwatsaduza residents of their safety during the December holidays.

During this year’s December holidays, police will be seen in the streets of the townships, the parks and the shopping malls at all time.

Springs police spokesman, Captain Johannes Ramphora says the Springs police will be visible in all shopping centres between 9am and 3pm.

The crime prevention unit will be seen in and around the Springs CBD from 7am until 7pm.

Ramphora says the patrollers will be working closely with the police reservists and the permanent members of the police to fight against crime in Springs and the surrounding areas between 10am and 2pm.

“During this festive season, Tsakane police will be out in full force to serve and protect the community of Tsakane,” said Captain Petros Mabuza of the Tsakane police.

He says more police units will be all over the township and malls doing crime prevention and roadblocks.

Mabuza continues to say that the police will also do the stop and search actions on every person and each car on the street.

He says the police are working with the banks, security companies, taxi associations,members of the Community Police Forum and community patrollers in fighting crime to ensure the safety of the residents on the streets and in their homes.

KwaThema police spokesman, Captain Mandla Phori also assures residents that the police will been seen at the Duduza Rank, one of the busiest places in KwaThema.

The patrollers and the police are prepared to protect the residents by fighting against crime in every corner of the township.
