Robbers enter open house

A house robbery in Selcourt was reported to the Springs Police yesterday (December 23).

At 2pm, a man was in the bathroom of his house when he heard someone in the house.

It i believed the two suspects, one armed with a knife, entered the house through kitchen door as the door and security gate wasn’t locked.

According to Captain Johannes Ramphora, spokesman for the Springs police, says the two robbers tied up the victim with the rope of his gown.

They searched the house and took two tablets, two cellphones, camera, jewellery and a laptop before leaving the house.

Ramphora says the victim managed to untie himself at 5pm, and drove to the Springs Police Station to open a house robbery case.

He says anyone with information that might lead to the arrest of these two robbers can contact the Springs police on 011 365 5719/20.
