It is believed he was followed by a white BMW and a grey Ford Focus after leaving the bank with the cash.
Captain Johannes Ramphora, Springs police spokesman, believe robbers are targeting people at the banks withdrawing large amounts of cash.
The four robbers, of whom one was armed with a gun, stopped behind the victim in his driveway.
The one armed robber pointed the gun at the victim demanding the cash.
Ramphora claims the robbers took the cash from the victim and drove away.
“The community should be on the look out when they draw cash at any bank this time of the year.”
No shots were fired.
