Armed man open fire in tavern

A case of murder and attempted murder were opened at the Springs Police Station on Saturday.

A man was killed and five others wounded when an armed man fired shots in a tavern in Second Avenue, central business district on Saturday.

A couple of friends were playing pool in a tavern at 11.10pm, when another man entered the tavern and started arguing with one of the friends.

The verbal argument was taken outside the tavern and it allegedly became physical.

The one man went back inside to join his friends while the other allegedly went to his car to fetch his firearm.

According to Ramophora  the armed man entered the tavern again and started firing random shots before he ran away.

Six people were wounded and taken to nearby hospitals.

The one man died in hospital on Sunday morning.
