The wonder of Christmas lights

Several gardens in Springs are lit with the wonder of Christmas lights and opened for public view today (December 15).

The beauty of Christmas is transformed into a lights of wonder at Mathilda Kunz’s house in Madeley Road, Strubenvale.

Their garden will be opened to the public at 6pm, and will stay lit until December 24.

She says children accompanied by their parents and senior citizens visit her house annually and she loves sharing her garden with them.

On Christmas eve her husband Chris will take over the role of Santa and hand out sweet packets to their visitors.

While the Addie took pictures on Friday evening, several cars stopped in the street to take a glimpse of this beautiful Christmas wonder.

Dina Botha, a Casseldale resident, likes to drive around Springs to see which house has the prettiest lights.

She feels Mathilda has outdone herself this year.

The D’Arrigo family’s place in Wit Road, has also been lit up with beautiful lights and is something these Springs residents share with the rest of the public.

The lights can be seen from afar and it is a joy to see the building lit up in another Christmas wonder.

The gates are open to the public from 5.30pm to 8pm every day.
