The residents placed rocks in the road to slow down traffic.
According to Captain Johannes Ramphora, spokesman for the Springs police, the Slovo Park community leader called upon the residents to protest against the speeding of motorists.
The community wants the metro to put up speed humps between the robot and the railway bridge to slow down traffic.
Ramphora says the protest was peaceful as no damage to property or vehicles were reported at the Springs Police Station.
The Addie contacted the metro, but no comment was received yet.
