Springs SAPS arrested two drug dealers

The Springs police can add another victory to their fight against crime with the arrest of two men today (Thursday) for possession and dealing in drugs.

They were following a lead and when they arrived at the Springs Hotel in the CBD, they arrested these two men for dealing in drugs.

Captain Johannes Ramphora, Springs police spokesman, says one of the men, aged 26 years, was buying tik from a dealer aged 32 years.

He claims the buyer was going to sell it again to his clients.

The street value of the tik is R200 for one tablet and the 30 tablets adds up to a street value of R6 000.

They also confiscated cash to the value of R2 500, used in drug dealing.

The two men were taken to the Springs police cells.

They will appear in court soon.
