Two men trying to steal built-in braai

Two Springs EMPD officials on duty received information on a attempted break-in in Dersley on Wednesday (October 15).

When they arrived at the house in Orpiment Street, at 9am on Wednesday, they found two men on the premises.

Officers Lourens du Toit and Louis Els say the two men were carrying a steel box coming from a built-in braai.

The robbers allegedly broke the braai from the wall by using a hammer and a chizel.

They removed parts of the braai from the premises.

The two officers arrested the robbers and took them to the Springs Police Station.

It is believed one it is also later confirmed that the one robber was an employee on the premises.

Els says the owner of the house was not at home at the time of the break-in.
