Grade 8 learner collapses at school
A learner who collapsed at school this morning was declared dead at the hospital.
A Grade 8 learner of the Springs Technical High School (HTS) collapsed this morning while at school.
Paramedics took the learner to the hospital where he was later declared dead.
There is speculation that the learner had a heart attack.
Marina Rathe, principal of HTS, says they can’t confirm whether or not it was a heart attack as they do not have all the information yet.
“All we know for sure is that the learner collapsed at school and he was tended to by paramedics who rushed him to hospital where we heard he was declared dead,” says Rathe.
