Extensive damage to shop after ATM bombing

A shop in New State Areas was targeted by six armed robbers last night.

At 7.30pm, the shop keeper was busy with a client when he noticed the men, wearing balaclavas, entering the shop.

Captain Johannes Ramphora, Springs police spokesman, says the men immediately went to the ATM inside the shop.

These robbers bombed the ATM causing extensive damage to the shop.

The robbers took the money from the ATM and left in a blue BMW.

No shots were fired during the bombing.

Springs police requests the community to come forward with information that might lead to the arrest of these robbers.
