Students off to South Korea

They will attend a three-week advanced information technology programme in South Korea.

Three of the Information and Communication Technology students from Ekurhuleni East College left for South Korea on Saturday.

Katlego Mogedi, Nevinson Moyo and Charles Souls will attend a three week advanced information technology programme in the country.

The programme is coordinated and hosted by Samsung Korea, in conjunction with the Manufacturing, Engineering and Related Services’ Education and Training (MERSETA).

Dr Johan Groenewald, Deputy Principal: Academic Affairs says these students were some of their best, who proved their commitment to success by achieving top academic results throughout their years of study at the college.

These students studied computer programming, data processing, web design and software development amongst the modules that they covered at the college.

Groenewald says the college anticipates that the students will return from South Korea with more sharpened skills that go beyond what they obtained at the college.
