Trailer of great assistance to potters
A Springs businessman generously donated a trailer to Potters Haven last Saturday.
Douglas MacPherson handed over the trailor’s registration papers to founder Marlene Minnie, her husband Andrew Minnie and board members Geoff and Cheryl Havenga.
Cheryl says they would like to start a recycling project, where they would collect paper, glass, tins and other recyclable materials for resale to recycling companies.
This would hopefully provide the home with additional finance which could assist them in meeting some of the needs of the children.
She says having a trailer at their disposal to move these recycled items will be of great assistance in achieving this goal.
The donation will enable them to collect donations and collect bulk purchases, especially groceries.
“We can now also redistribute any donations received, which we ourselves cannot use, but could be put to use at other NPO’s, she says.
