Metro’s carelessness at park in Selection Park

The road reserve next to the Selection Park Tennis Club has not been cleaned by the metro after they cut the grass around the club.

Ernst de Wet, chairman of the club, says the harder they try to keep the area clean, the more careless the metro becomes.

It is believed the metro staff cuts the grass and litters at the same time by leaving rubbish strewn around the club and at the park opposite the club.

The old bus stop next to the Selection Park Tennis Club is not being kept clean by the metro either and the road reserve next to the club is strewn with litter.

De Wet says people are becoming ashamed to go to the club because of the dirt.

The club and park belongs to the metro and although the metro was informed, no comment was received at the time of going to press.
