Two pedestrians hit by a car in CBD

It is believed the two wanted to cross the road opposite the Springs Fire Station, but a truck was blocking the lane.

According to an EMPD official, the driver of the truck allegedly said the two can cross the road.

The two pedestrians ran across the road, but were hit by an oncoming car.

The driver of the car says she was shocked when she saw the man’s elbow hit the windscreen.

The man allegedly tried to protect the girl by pushing her away from the vehicle, but she fell to the ground.

They were both treated on the scene by paramedics.

They both sustained minor injuries and were taken to a nearby hospital.
