Hijacked in Strubenvale

She threw her car keys at them.

A woman was hijacked at 9.30pm last Thursday when she dropped her aunt off in Strubenvale.

She parked her car in front of her aunt’s house in Ermelo Road and walked her aunt to the house.

On her way back to the car she noticed three men running towards her.

Captain Johannes Ramphora says she thought these men were going to rob her.

Out of fear, she immediately handed over her car keys to one robber.

One of the robbers pulled out a gun and pointed it at her.

Ramphora says the robber pushed her back into the house before he and his two accomplices drove off with her silver Honda.

Anyone with information on the above case can contact the Springs police on 011 365 5700.

  1. Oh my goodness. What an inaccurate report of what actually happened. The robbers approached her WITH THEIR FIREARMS DRAWN. She didn’t “think” they were going to rob her. It was very obvious what their intentions were. Her cool, calm and collected actions probably saved her like as well as her aunts’s life. Apart from the very considerable financial loss, nobody was harmed !!!!!!
