Woman hijacked in Strubenvale

She thought she was being robbed and handed over her car keys.

Dropping her aunt off in Strubenvale at 9.30pm, yesterday (September 18) turned into a hijacking nightmare.

After seeing her aunt off at the aunt’s house, she returned to her car which was parked in front of the house in Ermelo Road.

Captain Johannes Ramphora says she allegedly noticed three men running towards her and thought these men were going to rob her.

When she handed over her car keys to the one robber, one of the other two pulled out a gun and pointed it at her.

Ramphora says the armed robber pushed her back to the house and left her there.

The three robbers jumped into her silver Honda and drove off.
