UPDATE: GDE investigates allegations against principal
The Gauteng Department of Education is aware of the allegations against Frans Styger, principal of Hoërskool Hugenote, and views it in a very serious light.
Phumla Sekhonyane, spokesperson for the Department of Education, responded to enquiries sent by the Addie regarding Frans Styger, principal of Hoërskool Hugenote and the allegations against him.
“The case has been referred to our Labour Relations Unit for investigation,” says Sekhonyane.
She adds that the outcome of the investigation will determine the action to be taken.
The allegations came after an episode of Carte Blanche on MNet on Sunday evening which featured an
investigation into illegal gold trading.
