Metro irritates residents with tree stump

A tree stump is the cause of residents in Rennie Road, Selection Park's dissatisfaction with the metro.

The tree stump was removed from Knecht Avenue,  Selection Park in May where it was left for months, after metro workers cut down a tree and pulled the stump from the ground.

Resident Stuart McStay says the metro has sent contractors to remove a tree stump but instead of removing it completely, but they dumped it around the corner.

Residents in Rennie Road, directly opposite the railway line next to the railway bridge, keep the open field opposite their houses clean and also cut the grass.

McStay says there are two ‘no dumping’ boards up there which obviously mean nothing to the metro or the contractors.

The metro says their officials have removed the stump, but refute the allegations that they dumped the stump in that matter.
