Woman tied up by robbers

The men forced open the kitchen window to gain entry to the house.

Two armed men overpowered a 56-year-old woman on Wednesday morning inside her home after gaining entrance through the kitchen window.

Captain Johannes Rampohora, spokesman of Springs SAPS says the two men held her up in her bedroom in her house in Katjiepiering Street, Edelweiss.
The incident happened as she, at about 1:10am, was getting ready to get into bed.
The men forced open the kitchen window to gain entry to the house.
Ramphora says the men tied the woman’s hands with a cell phone charger cord and took jewellery and cash, as well the woman’s cell phone and laptop.
After they left, she managed to untie herself to call the police.
