The husband approached another unknown man in First Street, central business district, to buy a cigarette from him.
He left without taking his change and went back to his car where his wife was waiting for him.
According to Ramphora it was then that he remembered he never took his change and went back to the get it, leaving his wife behind.
The seller of the cigarette allegedly refused to give the victim his change.
An argument started and the victim was assaulted by the other man.
While he was being assaulted he noticed his wife was not in the car anymore.
After the assault the victim got into his car and drove home, where he found his wife.
Ramphora says the man allegedly robbed the victim’s wife as well.
She was robbed of a packet of boerewors, energy drinks and cash.
No arrests have been made.
