Eleven men rob tuck shop

They ran away when they heard a siren.

A tuck shop, that was trading from a container in Freedom Street, was allegedly robbed by 11 men in Gugulethu on Saturday evening.

Captain Johannes Ramphora, spokesman for Springs SAPS says the tuck shop owner was asleep when five armed men forced entry into the container at 8pm by breaking a padlock.
The rest of the gang kept watch outside.
The men demanded money but eventually took five bags of mealie meal, 30 chicken packs of  2kg each, several body soaps and other groceries.
They ran away when they heard a siren.
