Boys’ High wins Saou award

Springs Boys' High School (SBHS) was recently nominated as the provincial winner at the SAOU Congress Awards for being "a school of excellence with regard to transformation and nation building”.

They went through to the national level of the competition to compete against some of the best schools, ultimately taking second place nationally.

Winners were announced at a gala dinner held recently in Equestria, Pretoria.

“We are proud to have been nominated and to have achieved this accolade as a school of excellent performance in the facets that were judged,” says André French, principal of SBHS.

The school was judged on transformation and nation building, promoting Afrikaans culture, promoting Afrikaans as an academic language, challenging socio-economic circumstances as well as dealing with and taking care of special needs within its community.
