Boys’ High learners’ visit to the USA

Some of Springs Boys' High School's learners recently went to the United States of America.

A group of nine boys travelled to the USA to participate in the People to People Leadership Summit.

The objective of the summit, which takes place annually, is aimed at equipping young people with the skills and confidence to make a difference in their lives, in their community, and in the world.

They do this in a unique, international environment as they mix with fellow school students from across the globe.

These summits are based at various Ivy League universities across the United States, each with a particular focus of their own.

Leago Mnguni a Grade 12 learner (not in the photo) travelled to Baltimore to attend a leadership summit with a medical focus at John Hopkins University.

Whilst Liam Rothballer (Grade Nine), Bradey Theron (Grade 10), Austin Pinkerton (Grade 12), Brendan Preuss (Grade 11), educator and counsellor Dave Holdt as the accompanying teacher, Kudzai Madamba (Grade 10), Hansie Buitendag (Grade 10), Ishvan Sewparthab (Grade 10) and Bhavesh Singh (Grade 10), attended a leadership summit at Yale University in New Haven.

The boys returned all the richer for their experiences.
