A hijacking case has been opened at the Springs Police Station yesterday (July 16).
At 1.30pm, a man was driving his black Foton Thunda bakkie on a dusty road in Welgedacht when he noticed two men walking.
Captain Johannes Ramphora, Springs police spokesman, says the one man showed a ‘slow-down’ sign to the driver to slow down.
When the driver slowed down, the man pointed a gun at him.
He ordered the driver to get out of the vehicle.
The two hijackers got into the vehicle and drove off.
No arrests have been made.
