The robber pretended to know the victim before robbing him at the Springs avenues
A man was robbed after he withdraw money at the Nedbank ATM in the Springs Avenues on Tuesday, June 24, afternoon.
The victim was robbed by a man who first pretended to know him.
Springs police spokesman Captain Johannes Ramphora says the victim explained that the robber first greeted him while he was approaching an ATM.
He says after the victim withdrew cash, the suspect attacked him and demanded cash from him.
“The robber grabbed the victim’s wallet and searched it and took his money,” says Ramphora.
He says a case of common robbery has been opened and no arrest has been made.
