Provincial hat trick for local girls

Keeping the momentum

Nthabeleng Papashane and Naledi Peter are excited about being selected for the Gauteng School Netball for three years in a row.

They are taking part in the U/18 provincial tournament running from June 29 to July 6 in Margate, KwaZulu-Natal.

The Springs Girls’ High School matriculants made it this far, after surviving elimination during the four selection stages.

Both girls are looking to impress during trials for selection of the national team, which will be held in the last two days of the tournament.

Nthabeleng, who plays goal attack, said she lives by her coach’s motto that, ‘if you love the game then you will excel in it’.

While Naledi said she draws her strength and is motivated to perform well by her parents and support from her school.
