The 15-year-old boy who went missing on May 26, was found on Saturday.
The boy went missing after being dropped off at school.
Flyers were distributed and a missing person’s report was filed at the police station the same day he disappeared.
Captain Johannes Ramphora, Springs police spokesman, says the investigating officer found the boy on Saturday.
The boys’ father Jaco van der Merwe, says the boy is safe and is currently staying with friends.
He adds, children do not know what they put their parents through when they run away from home.
But they are happy he is safe and not harmed in any way.
He adds the boy will stay with the friends until they have made other arrangements.
