Local bachelor learns about girls

And, he is still single

Caxton East/South’s local bachelor is still single.

Zak Ludick, a businessman of Springs revealed this last week, saying he and his chosen girl, Magan McKenna were good friends but had nothing serious between them.

The girls of the East Rand voted him as the most eligible bachelor.

He and the competition organisers then chose 13 women he was supposed to date the first night at Carnival City, but only four arrived. He and the four went on a second date, after which he chose two.

McKenna was eventually the girl of his choice with whom he spent a special romantic date at the Carnival City Hotel, on Saturday, April 12.

Ludick said he did not know what to expect of this dating process.

His mom, Suzette and two elder sisters dared him to enter the Caxton bachelor competition.

He eventually enjoyed going out with the girls and learned a lot about women.

The most important lesson he learned was to get to know your girl before getting serious about her.

The Advertiser met Ludick in Geduld Extension, the area where he grew up and where he had been living his whole life.

This also is from where he runs his business, CKD Ultra, from where he imports precision water-cutting equipment from America.

He took the business over from his dad, Johan, who established it about 20 years ago. Ludick also does the maintenance on these machines for clients all over Gauteng.

Although he has many dreams about what he wants to do in the future, he now focuses on strengthening his business and may relocate it to be closer to his clients.

After finishing matric at Springs Technical School, he worked at a glass factory for three years while doing part-time studies in graphic design and web design at CTU. He then started working with his dad and took over the business a few years ago.

Ludick is a down-to-earth Sagitarian, describing himself as someone who loves to laugh.

His favourite food is any type of pasta or sushi.

In his free time he plays in one of the action cricket teams that compete in the Springs Indoor Sport Centre.

He also loves watching rugby and the accompanying braaiing with friends. And the rugby team he supports is the Stormers.

On his bucket list are touring the world especially to warm places in the world, as well as learning to scuba dive, simply because he loves to be in the water.

Because Ludick loves old cars, like a Pontiac GDO or Dodge Charger, he also one day would like to build up one as a hobby.

Staying with cars, he says he would also like to do something like drag racing or off-road racing. In the meantime he would like to get himself a practical bakkie for his business.

He also dreams of being married with children, preferably a boy and a girl.

All he wants is that the woman he spends his life with has to do and love the same things he does.
