Dough-nation of bread

Pizza bread goes to a charity organisation

SpringsCare Mobile Soup Kitchen’s staff received the first batch of freshly baked bread from a pizza outlet.

They have partnered with SpringsCare in their ‘dough-nation’ campaign.

This initiative is aimed at helping the less fortunate by providing them with freshly baked bread which is made out of pizza dough.

“Owing to the ongoing support of our loyal customers we are able to fulfil this worthwhile and truly meaningful initiative, we aim to continue with this project,” says owner Carin Rogalsky.

Currently the staff is saving every cut-off piece of dough to be able to bake bread for this worthy cause.

SpringsCare CEO Chanré van der Merwe says the bread donation will be used at the existing soup kitchen on the premises of the Trinity Methodist Church in Lodeyko.

“We welcome this partnership and look forward to a long working relationship by joining hands to make a difference in Springs.”

The mobile unit will be launched soon.
