School jersey drive

The Addie’s sister paper, African Reporter, is appealing to the community for assistance to ensure that disadvantaged learners are warm this winter.

The paper is asking for donations of wool, knitting needles and jersey patterns.

We will arrange for jerseys to be knitted out of your old wool and will gladly welcome any scraps or left-over wool you have lying around.

We are also collecting jerseys and school shoes which are still in good condition which can be donated to schoolchildren in Kwatsaduza.

Any other warm items of clothing, including school uniforms for schools in and around Springs, tracksuits and socks will be appreciated.

The donations can be brought to our offices at 48, 5th Avenue in the Springs CBD between 8am and 4.30pm from Monday to Thursday and between 8am and 4pm on Friday.

For more information call Gerty Shabangu on 011 812 4800.
