No power in Springs

Eskom began implementing load shedding across the country this morning, resulting in various areas across Springs - including Selection Park and Struisbult already seeing the effects.

According to an SMS sent out by the Ekurhuleni metro at 12.43 this afternoon: “Due to load shedding by Eskom, the following areas are without power: parts of Germiston, Bedfordview, Kempton Park, Benoni, Springs, Brakpan, Nigel. The country is currently in Stage 3 of the load shedding protocol, which means that Eskom is remotely controlling the power supply from the national grid. The site states that this situation will continue from today until
