Wheels and Wings in Springs

The Addie, and its sister paper, The African Reporter, is gearing up to host the papers' third Wheels and Wings day.

This fun day, aimed at providing the community with a great day out to benefit charities, will be held at the Springs Airfield on August 2, so save the date, gather your mates and join us.

Once again, no entry fee will be charged but the community will be asked to donate non perishable food at the gate. This will be distributed to charities around Springs and Kwatsaduza.

We already have some Springs organisations on board to entertain visitors but have space for many more, so if you have a talent that needs showcasing, and you think others would like to watch you strut your stuff, contact us for possible inclusion in the line-up.

We would also like to hear from service organisations and registered charities who would like to get involved in making this a truly spectacular day for the people of the East Rand.

As in the past, businesses and the community are being invited to take flea market stalls to sell their wares – ranging from food stalls to those selling home-made items.

Businesses are also invited to display their products in the larger exhibition spaces which will be available where cars, bikes and more can be showcased in all their glory.

Springs and Kwatsaduza groups interested in getting onto the entertainment line-up should email Samantha Keogh on samk@caxton.co.za.

Anyone interested in taking a fleamarket stand can email Anna Robertson at annar@caxton.co.za or Samantha for more information.

Exhibitors can contact Michell Roberts at michellr@caxton.co.za for details about these spaces.
