Messenger reaps rewards

Jackson Kokong, a 30-year-old Tsakane resident, recently received awards for his work as a messenger at the Far East Rand Hospital.

Kokong received the award for Most Diligent Worker in the messenger department. He also received the award for Best Dresser in the Workplace.

The CEO Awards ceremony was held at the hospital on December 12, 2013.

He expresses what seems like unending gratitude towards the management of the hospital, to his co-workers and family.

“It’s an honour for me to receive this award, it’s true when they say: The mother of success is perseverance,” says Kokong.

Kokong started working for the Far East Rand Hospital three years ago and enjoys his job thoroughly, stating that it always feels good when a patient leaves the hospital with a smile in his presence.

“I enjoy being in the workplace because I do things from the heart and not to impress anybody.”

Kakong says that he thinks he won the award for Most Diligent Worker because he is a hard worker. He is also very dedicated to his work and he’s always available.

The reason behind him winning the Best Dresser in the Workplace goes without saying.

Kakong exudes pride for his awards and is confident that this year will be a good one.
