Bravery badge for young boy

Three robbers bit off more than they could chew.

Three men entered a house in Dal Fouche yesterday (November 20) at about 10am, where a  14-year-old boy was studying .

Springs police spokesman Captain Johannes Ramphora says they demanded a laptop and jewellery.

When the boy denied having these items in the house they tied him up.

They did not take into account the determination of the young boy, and focussed on taking electrical appliances.

“The victim untied himself, ran to his room and grabbed his pellet gun with which he threatened to shoot the three robbers,” says Capt Ramphora.

They ran away with some of the stolen goods, but left most of them behind.

“This boy is very brave,” concludes Ramphora.

No one was injured.
