Young man shot in leg

A young man was shot in his leg in the early hours on July 30 while waiting for his father in front of a shop.

According to Springs police spokesman Captain Johannes Ramphora, the father went into a supermarket in Paul Krugersoord at 6am, to buy vegetables.

The son and an employee waited outside in a vehicle when they were approacehd by three young armed robbers who demanded cash.

“The son started screaming for help and one robber shot him in his leg. He was taken to the N17 Hospital for treatment,” says Capt Ramphora.

The robbers stole their cash and fled the scene.

No arrests have been made.
