Girls’ High’s cycle fever

Springs Girls' High School, in partnership with Impala Cycle Club, is hosting the exciting Auto Alphina Springs 93.9 Cycle Challenge on August 23.

It is a MTB ride starting at 8am, from the Nigel Bottling Industry (Coca-Cola) between Nigel and Dunnottar.

There is something for everyone with a 40km route for the more serious cyclists or the ones who would like to challenge themselves.

For those starting off, or who want to take it more leisurely, there is a 14km route and for the children there will be a 4km route that will get them into the swing of things.

All the rides are fully marshalled and paramedics will be on duty.

All finishers will receive medals and there will be ample water points to relax and rest those weary legs.

The event also offers a variety of entertainment for all the supporters with picnic sites and food and beverage stalls to satisfy the taste.

Spot prizes and lucky draws will add to the excitement together with the raffling of some top-range bicycles.

Prize money will be awarded for the race snakes.

Entries will be available online at www.cyclelab.co.za or at Bike Scene the day before the event or at the venue on the morning of the event.

Challenge family and friends and come and join in the fun on the day.

Helmets are compulsory, so remember to bring them along.
