The Super 16 Golf Competition kicked off on Saturday, July 5 at the Springs Country Club.
With 16 teams participating and six members in each team, the event was a cheerful occasion.
The chilly wind and early morning cold did not deter these teams from battling it out on the golf course.
In the fifth round of the Super 16, the Crusaders became the winning team of the day.
In the Betterball Stableford Competition, two members from each team played.
In first place were Neville Brown and Reinhardt Reichel from the Crusaders with a score of 47 points.
In second, were Chris Erasmus and Bennie De Lange from the Cheetahs team with 46 points.
Coming in at third place were Thys Fouche and Geoffrey Valentine from the Sharks, also with 46 points.
In fourth and fifth place were Frikkie Colyn en Frans Ferreira from the Hurricanes team (fourth) and Wikus Nel and Nickey Minnaar from the Reds (fifth), both with a score of 45 points.
