The biggest problem with most horror films is that the sequels are often never as good as the originals.
This certainly seems to be the case with Paranormal Activity: The Marked Ones, the fifth instalment in the supernatural horror series.
In this sequel, 17-year-old Jesse (Andrew Jacobs) hears frightening sounds coming from his neighbour’s apartment.
With camera in hand, Jesse makes it his mission to uncover the source of these disturbing noises.
What he finds, is an ancient evil that is out to claim his soul.
Paranormal Activity: The Marked Ones has been labelled as “the very best of the series,” and, if this is true, one can’t help but wonder how terrible the other films are.
If you are looking for a brilliant horror film, rather head off to the nearest DVD store and hire out a classic from the ‘70s or ’80s.
